Congratulations to the latest crop of tourism businesses to show that the South West remains a leader in offering visitors great holidays with a positive impact!
SW businesses made up over a quarter of the businesses recognised from around the UK at the award ceremony held on 9th June at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London.
Three of the five awards in the 'Best Carbon Footprint' categories were won by businesses from the region with Dolbeare Park in SE Cornwall a double-winner.
The Awards were part of Green Tourism Week organised by the Green Tourism Business Scheme to highlight the leading businesses in the scheme, and the benefits that taking a greener approach has on controlling costs and adding appeal.
The winner of the Best Carbon Reduction in a Hotel Chain award went to Ramada Jarvis, which started with their Bristol hotel taking part as an initial pilot.
