
A consultation is currently taking place on the design of the government's proposed Regional Growth Fund - a £1bn investment into England over the two year period 2011/12 and 2012/13.
Responses are currently being sought from people and organisations across the public, private and community sectors.
The aim of this fund is to encourage private sector enterprise, including social enterprise, and in doing so create opportunities for people and places to adjust to reductions in public spending.
