South West tourism businesses win at National Awards

Seven South West tourism businesses have won national awards at this year's Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2010, including two Gold and five Silver awards.

The winning businesses won accolades in the following categories; Caravan Holiday Park of the Year, Large Hotel of the Year, Small Visitor Attraction of the Year, Best Tourism Experience of the year, Tourism Event of the Year, Sustainable Tourism of the Year, and Business Tourism of the Year. All Gold winners from the South West Tourism Excellence Awards, held last November, were automatically entered into the national awards to be ranked against winners from across the rest of England. The national awards ceremony for the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2010 was held at the Brighton Dome, on 23 April 2010.

The Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2010 are now in their 21st year, and they promote healthy industry competition and high standards, helping to ensure England's place as a world-class destination.
