As part of the Tozers Spring Employment Seminars 2010, this seminar focusses on the basic building block of the employer/employee relationship - the contract of employment sitting side by side with the company handbook. Get these documents right and many problems can be avoided - or at least dealt with in a way which supports rather than undermines the business. Getting them wrong can have a disproportionately detrimental effect.
This seminar will look at the range of useful clauses ranging from confidentiality and restrictive covenants to deductions and pay in lieu which you could or should include in your contracts, and explores the relationship with policies and procedures in the handbook and how the two interact.
Expert speakers will point out some traps for the unwary, and offer top tips for the DIY enthusiasts among you.
This seminar will be of practical use to anyone who has responsibility for workplace documentation and either manages the HR function or owns the business and needs a better understanding of the potential to extend the obligations of the employee to better support the business.
You will be able to identify clearly defects in your own organisation's contracts and have a clear understanding of the changes which need to be made, as well as having a range of model clauses which you can use.
The cost is £40.00 + VAT
