October 2009 Business Snapshot

The latest ‘How's Business' research was undertaken throughout November 2009 by TNS. 

689 businesses responded to the survey to establish how business was during October 2009.

• Figures for October show that visitor numbers are up compared to this time last year.  Just under half of all respondents reported increased visitor numbers. 
• The average actual change in visitors for October was +9%
• The number of businesses reporting an increase in turnover compared to this time last year has dropped to 44% from 50% in September.
• The average actual change in turnover for October was +8%
