South West Tourism is delighted to announce the appointment of six new Non-Executive Directors.
South West Tourism has recently restructured in accordance with ‘Towards 2015', the regional tourism strategy. The new Non-Executive Board of Directors will guide South West Tourism and drive the regional agenda forward, focusing on delivering sustainable tourism and driving up quality in the South West.
Malcolm Bell, Director of South West Tourism, said:
"I would like to thank the current Directors for their hard work and dedication to South West Tourism through the years and in particular, Francis Cornish, who chaired the Board, taking over at the start of the process, which led to the 10-year strategy, ‘Towards 2015.'
On behalf of South West Tourism, I would like to welcome the new Directors who have backgrounds ranging from industry representatives to commercial and academia, and I am confident they will expertly guide the tourist board into the next era and beyond.
The new Directors commence their appointment during a challenging year, however we are all focussed on working with the industry and partners to address these challenges and take advantage of the opportunities that arise."
